Youth Tournament
Wolverhampton City Council are
running a 5-a-side football tournament
on Saturday 24th March in
memory of the former Wolves winger Jimmy
Mullen, with this year being the 24th
anniversary of the tournament taking
place. They are currently aiming to
increase the number of entries. Download

Crowle Tournament May 2012
This years format
will follow previous years with a maximum of 12
teams permitted per age group split into 2 leagues
and playing group matches with the top 2 in each
group moving forward into a knock out phase of semis
and finals. The age groups being invited are U8s -

Sept) are looking for more players for their squad
for the forthcoming season.
The FA Football Futures
Programme
 Are
you a young leader, aged 14 – 19 yrs, currently
volunteering at a local football club?
Are you a manager, coach or teacher that knows of a
young leader with great leadership potential?
This is an exciting new
project whereby The FA are going to reward young
leaders aged 14 to 19 years old volunteering
within Charter Standard Clubs (or other suitable
organisations).
The young leaders will be
recognised for their efforts through being
rewarded FA volunteer certificates at 10, 25, 50,
100 & 200 hours of voluntary service, which can
contribute to their own personal development.
The main aim of the programme is to develop a
future generation of volunteers who have the
knowledge and experience to make a positive
contribution to local grassroots football. The
secondary aim is to create links between schools
that deliver leadership courses and neighbouring
grassroots football clubs, presenting young
leaders with the opportunity to volunteer within
their local community.

LET THEM PLAY
They
stand on the field with their hearts beating
fast, the whistle has blown, the die has been
cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help,
they stand
all alone, a goal at this moment would send
the team home.
A ball at
their feet, they kick and it misses, there's a
moan from the crowd, some boos and some
hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries "take off the bum" tears fill their eyes, it's
no longer fun.
If you have
ever been tempted to shout or to groan, just
think its a child who stands all alone.
So open your
hearts and give them a break, its moments like
this that players you make.
Keep this in
mind please do not forget, they are only
children, not adults yet.
