Thompson . A bright but damp
morning for this early kick off and both teams started the game
brightly with both Westbury and Warndon knocking the ball about
well. Mid way through the first half Warndon played three or four
nice passes and the ball was slotted away comfortably by the striker
1-0 to Warndon. Westbury carried on pressing for the rest of the
first half but without joy due to good positioning of the Warndon
defence.
Westbury started the second half
well but still struggled to find the finishing touch and started to
get exposed at the back with Warndon exploiting this and going on to
score two more goals. For all the good work of Westbury it just
wasn’t going to be their day. Despite all Westbury’s hard work and
effort Warndon were the better team and the score remained the same
until the final whistle.
Bring on next week and to all
Westbury’s boys lets get to training and work hard on basics and I’m
sure our form of last season will come flooding back.
A big thanks to everyone for all
their help and effort for the last two weeks while I (Rod) have been
away.
