Amusing Moment Drinking rock God Russ Carlin under the table...so easy

Spotted this week Tony Thompson dressed as Jimmy Sommerville at Nigsy Mculloughs birthday party for gays in gay venues...rumour has it it was the party which pushed Kevin McGee over the edge!

Quote of the week
Big Gav - "Pass me the Mayonnaise"
Reply - "Do you want a straw with that'
.......cue the sniggers!

Referee watch B Nayatanga - 6 a late replacement for Laura Gough, had a better tan but sadly lacking in the chest department...a ref who can't over rule his linesman even though he admitted they were wrong...just Westbury's luck eh?

Kev Halsall watch With Westbury bottom of the league and Woodys job on the line, not so Super Kev took himself off to Butlins for a well deserved break.

Nob of the Day That little ***** who runs the Star...you know and I know you have stolen one of my matchballs

Post match Drink Riflemans, Red Lion, Bull Inn...and a debut appearance from the lemonade drinking Oli Spink...oh well, its a start!

Man of the Match Ben Brogan - Terrific performance capped with a terrific goal

Report:
Westbury Celtic Reserves remain rooted to the bottom of the Worcester Prem despite a another good performance as they made reigning champions Arrow work hard for their victory before eventually going down 2-4.
Ben Brogan and James Baker returned for the home side as Celtic frustrated Arrow with a hardworking first half performance which saw the only chance of the game buried by Arrows Mick Hartshorne on the half hour.
But once again, Westbury committed suicide a minute after the break despite the interval warnings when Daniel Harding-Hall sprung the offside trap to bury a second despite Celtics pleas as referee Brian Nayatanga refused to over rule his linesman even though he thought was wrong! And with Arrow seemingly making the game safe on the hour through another clinical Harding-Hall finish it appeared it was all over for the hosts.
But one thing this Reserve team has got is guts and they came storming back when Ben Brogan dribbled past five players before tucking away a stunning solo effort. This now lifted Westbury and when Alan Parkinson crashed in a 30 yard beauty moments later suddenly the game changed as Parkinson and Ellis both went close before Arrow hit Celtic on the break late on when Lee Seldon killed them off.

Footnote -
special thanks to goalkeeper Ady Sommers who left the club this week following Sean Jenkins return from injury, in his short time at the club Sommers produced a number of quality performances in Jenkins absence and we wish him well for the future...and also to the departing Barry Austin who has been a great servant and to the promising Adam Ellis who will be joining the 'C' team on loan for a while......just another quiet week in the hot seat!!

Next Game Wolverley - Home at Droitwich Rugby Club Meet at 9.30am

TRAINING WILL NOW BE ON TUESDAYS 8-9 PM AT DROITWICH HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS HALL....YOU WANTED IT SO BE THERE!
